How do I know if my driveway needs cleaning?
If your concrete has taken on a “dim” look from its original brighter color, then it’s time for a power cleaning. You need a professional cleaning especially if you notice brown, black, or green colors on your concrete. This grimey build up is actually mold and mildew growth that needs to be treated with a chemical solution and then washed away from the surface of the concrete with heated high pressure water.
How do I know if my house needs washing?
Are you noticing that your siding has black or green areas of grime? Is the exterior of your home covered in spider webs or wasps nets? These are signs that your house is in need of a soft wash. Rather than potentially damaging our home, we provide a soft washing service that uses industrial chemicals and lower water pressure to achieve a clean and pristine result for your home.
What’s the difference between power washing and soft washing?
Power washing (or pressure washing) is a cleaning technique that uses accelerated water (or pressure) to clean surfaces of dirt and debri. Power washing is especially well suited to hard surfaces like concrete and brick. However, the siding of your house was not designed to withstand the force that results from power washing. Instead, on softer or more delicate surfaces (like home siding or roofing), we use a technique called soft washing. We utilize a chemical application to treat and kill any mold growth and then wash away any residue and dirt with a low pressure rinse. The pressure of the water is low enough to stick your hand in front of, so there is virtually no danger of it damaging the exterior of your home.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for your visit?
Typically, we advise customers to remove valuables and furniture from porches and near the main structure of the house. However, our techs can move your items as needed for an additional fee. We also require that you provide access to a water source for our use for the duration of the cleaning service.
How many people will come to my service call?
Most often we have 1 or 2 techs on any given project. However, depending on the size of your project, we may have more techs arrive for your service. If you are short on time, please let us know ahead of time, and we will try to plan accordingly.
